Other Notes

Small volumes of PLAUR elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for PLAUR purchase

MBS824807 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the CD87 (PLAUR) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing PLAUR. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS824807 kit is based on PLAUR antibody-PLAUR antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PLAUR antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, PLAUR. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for PLAUR

uPAR: Acts as a receptor for urokinase plasminogen activator. Plays a role in localizing and promoting plasmin formation. Mediates the proteolysis-independent signal transduction activation effects of U-PA. It is subject to negative-feedback regulation by U-PA which cleaves it into an inactive form. Monomer (Probable). Interacts with MRC2. Interacts (via the UPAR/Ly6 domains) with SRPX2. Expressed in neurons of the rolandic area of the brain. Expressed in the brain. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Receptor, misc.; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Membrane protein, GPI anchor

Cellular Component: focal adhesion; membrane; integral to plasma membrane; extracellular region; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: protein domain specific binding; protein binding; enzyme binding; U-plasminogen activator receptor activity; receptor binding

Biological Process: mesenchymal cell differentiation; negative regulation of apoptosis
