Other Notes

Small volumes of CDH1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS824815 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the E Cadherin (CDH1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CDH1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS824815 kit is based on CDH1 antibody-CDH1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CDH1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CDH1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for CDH1

CDH1: a single-pass type I membrane protein, and calcium dependent cell adhesion proteins. It is a ligand for integrin alpha-E/beta-7, and it colocalizes with DLG7 at sites of cell-cell contact in intestinal epithelial cells. Anchored to actin microfilaments through association with alpha-, beta- and gamma-catenin. Sequential proteolysis induced by apoptosis or calcium influx, results in translocation from sites of cell-cell contact to the cytoplasm. Involved in mechanisms regulating cell-cell adhesions, mobility and proliferation of epithelial cells. Defects in CDH1 are involved in dysfunction of the cell-cell adhesion system, triggering cancer invasion (gastric, breast, ovary, endometrium and thyroid) and metastasis. Has a potent invasive suppressor role.
