Other Notes

Small volumes of ICAM1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for ICAM1 purchase

MBS824913 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the CD54 (ICAM1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing ICAM1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS824913 kit is based on ICAM1 antibody-ICAM1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ICAM1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ICAM1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for ICAM1

ICAM1: a type I membrane protein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Is a ligand for the leukocyte adhesion LFA-1 protein (Integrin alpha-L/beta-2) and a Rhinovirus receptor. Typically expressed on endothelial cells and cells of the immune system. ICAM1 binds to integrins of type CD11a / CD18, or CD11b / CD18. Its expression is activated by p53 in an NF-kappaB-independent manner. Induced by TNFalpha in a process that involves IKKbeta.

Protein type: Immunoglobulin superfamily; Membrane protein, integral; Cell adhesion

Cellular Component: extracellular space; cell surface; focal adhesion; membrane; integral to plasma membrane; integral to membrane; plasma membrane; immunological synapse; external side of plasma membrane; lipid raft

Molecular Function: integrin binding; protein complex binding

Biological Process: regulation of cell adhesion; virion attachment, binding of host cell surface receptor; negative regulation of calcium ion transport; positive regulation of nitric oxide biosynthetic process; T cell antigen processing and presentation; activation of NF-kappaB transcription factor; positive regulation of cellular extravasation; regulation of cell shape; positive regulation of peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation; leukocyte adhesion; cell-cell adhesion; sensory perception of sound; positive regulation of actin filament polymerization; T cell activation via T cell receptor contact with antigen bound to MHC molecule on antigen presenting cell; positive regulation of vasoconstriction; adhesion to host; cell adhesion mediated by integrin; cell adhesion; acute inflammatory response to antigenic stimulus
