Application Notes for anti-CD83 antibody
FC: <= 0.25 ug/test

A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.

Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) of anti-CD83 antibody

Staining of 1 day PHA stimulated human peripheral blood cells with Mouse IgG1 K Isotype Control (FITC) (left) or CD83 antibody (FITC) (right). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-CD83 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CD83

The protein encoded by this gene is a single-pass type I membrane protein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of receptors. The encoded protein may be involved in the regulation of antigen presentation. A soluble form of this protein can bind to dendritic cells and inhibit their maturation. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]
