Application Notes for PPIF active protein
1. Prepare assay buffer in a suitable container and pre-chill on ice before use: The final concentrations are 35 mM Tris, pH 8.0, 1uM suc-AAFP-pNA). 2. Add recombinant Cyclophilin F protein with various concentrations (1ug, 2ug, 5ug) in assay buffer. 3. Mix by inversion and equilibrate to 1 DEG C and monitor the A410nm until the value is constant using a spectrophotometer. 4. Add pre-chilled chymotrypsin to 12.5 uM and mix immediately. 5. Record the increase in A410 nm for 20 minutes

Other Notes

Small volumes of PPIF active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for PPIF

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) family. PPIases catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and accelerate the folding of proteins. This protein is part of the mitochondrial permeability transition pore in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Activation of this pore is thought to be involved in the induction of apoptotic and necrotic cell death. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
