Other Notes

Small volumes of NR3C1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS905265 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the nuclear receptor subfamily 3, group C, member 1 (glucocorticoid receptor) (NR3C1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing NR3C1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS905265 kit is based on NR3C1 antibody-NR3C1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NR3C1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, NR3C1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for NR3C1

This gene encodes glucocorticoid receptor, which can function both as a transcription factor that binds to glucocorticoid response elements in the promoters of glucocorticoid responsive genes to activate their transcription, and as a regulator of other transcription factors. This receptor is typically found in the cytoplasm, but upon ligand binding, is transported into the nucleus. It is involved in inflammatory responses, cellular proliferation, and differentiation in target tissues. Mutations in this gene are associated with generalized glucocorticoid resistance. Alternative splicing of this gene results in transcript variants encoding either the same or different isoforms. Additional isoforms resulting from the use of alternate in-frame translation initiation sites have also been described, and shown to be functional, displaying diverse cytoplasm-to-nucleus trafficking patterns and distinct transcriptional activities (PMID:15866175). UniProt Comments for NR3C1

GR: transcription factor of the nuclear receptor family. Receptor for glucocorticoids (GC). Binds to glucocorticoid response elements (GRE) and modulates other transcription factors. Affects inflammatory responses, cellular proliferation and differentiation in target tissues. Three alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.
