Other Notes

Small volumes of EFNB2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for EFNB2 purchase

MBS916324 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the ephrin-B2 (EFNB2) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing EFNB2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS916324 kit is based on EFNB2 antibody-EFNB2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect EFNB2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, EFNB2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for EFNB2

This gene encodes a member of the ephrin (EPH) family. The ephrins and EPH-related receptors comprise the largest subfamily of receptor protein-tyrosine kinases and have been implicated in mediating developmental events, especially in the nervous system and in erythropoiesis. Based on their structures and sequence relationships, ephrins are divided into the ephrin-A (EFNA) class, which are anchored to the membrane by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage, and the ephrin-B (EFNB) class, which are transmembrane proteins. This gene encodes an EFNB class ephrin which binds to the EPHB4 and EPHA3 receptors. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for EFNB2

EFNB2: a type I membrane protein of the ephrin family. A ligand of Eph-related receptor tyrosine kinases EphA3 and EphB4. Ephrins and ephrin receptors mediate numerous developmental processes, particularly in the nervous system. Ephrin-B2 is implicated in mediating developmental events, especially in the nervous system and in erythropoiesis. May play a role in constraining the orientation of longitudinally projecting axons
