Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates
Detection Range
0.312 ng/ml-20 ng/ml.
Sensitivity
The minimum detectable dose of human ITGA4/CD49D is typically less than 0.078 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human ITGA4/CD49D. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human ITGA4/CD49D and analogues was observed.
Preparation and Storage
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.

Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Laboratory.

Other Notes

Small volumes of ITGA4 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS918697 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the integrin, alpha 4 (antigen CD49D, alpha 4 subunit of VLA-4 receptor) (ITGA4) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing ITGA4. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS918697 kit is based on ITGA4 antibody-ITGA4 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ITGA4 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ITGA4. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for ITGA4

The product of this gene belongs to the integrin alpha chain family of proteins. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This gene encodes an alpha 4 chain. Unlike other integrin alpha chains, alpha 4 neither contains an I-domain, nor undergoes disulfide-linked cleavage. Alpha 4 chain associates with either beta 1 chain or beta 7 chain. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for ITGA4

ITGA4: Integrins alpha-4/beta-1 (VLA-4) and alpha-4/beta-7 are receptors for fibronectin. They recognize one or more domains within the alternatively spliced CS-1 and CS-5 regions of fibronectin. They are also receptors for VCAM1. Integrin alpha- 4/beta-1 recognizes the sequence Q-I-D-S in VCAM1. Integrin alpha- 4/beta-7 is also a receptor for MADCAM1. It recognizes the sequence L-D-T in MADCAM1. On activated endothelial cells integrin VLA-4 triggers homotypic aggregation for most VLA-4-positive leukocyte cell lines. It may also participate in cytolytic T-cell interactions with target cells. Heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit. The alpha subunit can sometimes be cleaved into two non-covalently associated fragments. Alpha-4 associates with either beta-1 or beta-7. Alpha-4 interacts with PXN, LPXN, and TGFB1I1/HIC5. Interacts with CSPG4 through CSPG4 chondroitin sulfate glycosaminoglycan. Belongs to the integrin alpha chain family.
