Blocking Buffer for ICC and IHC Accessory Reagent – Liquid (filtered)

Blocking Buffer is intended to block non-specific background in fixed cells and tissues stained by using immunocytochemistry (ICC) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications. This blocking buffer is used to pre-incubate samples before adding primary antibodies. The buffer can be used on specimens fixed with different fixatives including, but not limited to, buffered formalin, formaldehyde, alcohols, acetone and chloroform. Pre-incubation in Blocking Buffer allows eliminating non-specific background staining and enhancing signal-to-noise ratio of specific immunoreactivity. This buffer is compatible with frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue sections.

Small volumes of Blocking Buffer for ICC and IHC accessory reagent vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
