Product Overview

Online Datasheet in PDF
Product Name
Eotaxin (Ccl11), Active Protein
Full Product Name
Recombinant Mouse Eotaxin (CCL11)
Product Gene Name
Product Synonym Names
Eotaxin Mouse; Eotaxin Mouse Recombinant (CCL11); Small inducible cytokine A11; CCL11; Eosinophil chemotactic protein; chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 11; SCYA11; mEotaxin
Sequence
The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be His-Pro-Gl y-Ser-Ile
Host
E Coli
Form/Format
Lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) solution in water containing no additives.
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity/Purification
Greater than 95.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized Eotaxin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 degree C. Upon reconstitution CCL11 should be stored at 4 degree C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 degree C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Molecular Weight
10,893 Da
3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for P48298
Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Eotaxin in sterile 18M Omega -cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
The Biological activity was determined by measuring the dose dependent phosphorylation of ERK1 and ERK2 in CCR3 transfected 293 cells. Significant ERK phosphorylation is observed with >100 ng/ml (corresponding to a Specific Activity of 10,000IU/mg) of recombinant mouse eotaxin.

Other Notes

Small volumes of Ccl11 active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
