General
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Samples
Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids
Detection Range
61.7-5,000pg/mL
Sensitivity
< 24.4pg/mL
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of noradrenaline. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between noradrenaline and analogues was observed.
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level noradrenaline were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level noradrenaline were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<10%

General NE ELISA Kit – Cat# MBS2700394

Other Notes

Small volumes of NE elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS2700394 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Noradrenaline (NE) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing NE. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2700394 kit is based on NE antibody-NE antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NE antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, NE. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for NE

This gene encodes a member of the sodium:neurotransmitter symporter family. This member is a multi-pass membrane protein, which is responsible for reuptake of norepinephrine into presynaptic nerve terminals and is a regulator of norepinephrine homeostasis. Mutations in this gene cause orthostatic intolerance, a syndrome characterized by lightheadedness, fatigue, altered mentation and syncope. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified in this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]

UniProt Comments for NE

Amine transporter. Terminates the action of noradrenaline by its high affinity sodium-dependent reuptake into presynaptic terminals.
