Purity/Purification
Purified on protein A from tissue culture supernatant.
Concentration
1mg/ml (lot specific)
Specificity
This antibody recognises cellular tumour antigen p53, a 50kDa transcription factor and major tumour suppressor that plays a major role in regulating cellular responses to DNA damage and other genomic aberrations. Mutation of p53 is the most common genetic change so far identified in a number of major carcinomas. The Pab240 antibody recognizes an epitope between amino acids 156-214 on murine p53.
Matching Pairs
FITC Conjugated Antibody: p53 Clone #PAb240 (MBS375317)
HRP Conjugated Antibody: p53 Clone #PAb240 (MBS375296)
Target Antigen
p53
Immunogen
Purified p53-b-galactosidase fusion protein containing p53 sequence from amino acids 14-389
Myeloma/fusion Partners
Cells from immunized Balb/c mice were fused with the Sp2/0-Ag.14 myeloma cell line
