Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 64000.
Western Blot: Approx.55kDa band observed in Human Lymph Node, Spleen and Tonsil lysates (calculated MW of 51.3kDa according to NP_003378.3 and NP_001070737.1). In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing WIPF1 a band of approx.55kDa is observed. This band is not observed in the non-transfected HEK293. Recommended concentration: 0. 03-0.1ug/ml.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-WIPF1 antibody

(0. 03ug/ml) staining of Human Tonsil lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-WIPF1 antibody

HEK293 overexpressing WIPF1 (RC217601) and probed (mock transfection in first lane), tested by Origene.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-WIPF1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for WIPF1

This gene encodes a protein that plays an important role in the organization of the actin cytoskeleton. The encoded protein binds to a region of Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein that is frequently mutated in Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome, an X-linked recessive disorder. Impairment of the interaction between these two proteins may contribute to the disease. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene. UniProt Comments for WIPF1

WIPF1: a cytoskeleton-associated protein that interacts with the Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein (WASP) in resting cells. Plays an important role in the organization of the actin cytoskeleton. Phosphorylation by PKC-theta following T cell receptor signaling disengages it from WASP, releasing WASP from WIP inhibition. Binds to a region of WASP that is frequently mutated in Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Actin-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q31.1

Cellular Component: actin cytoskeleton; actin filament; cytoplasmic membrane-bound vesicle; cytosol; ruffle

Molecular Function: actin binding; actin filament binding; profilin binding; protein binding
