Product Overview

Online Datasheet in PDF
Product Name
IL-11 receptor alpha (IL11RA), Active Protein
Full Product Name
Mouse IL-11 receptor alpha Recombinant
Product Gene Name
Product Synonym Gene Name
IL-11
Product Synonym Names
IL-11RA; IL11ra
Host
HEK Cells (Host protein expression may be lot-specific and can be subject to change during production, including bulk orders)
Form/Format
Recombinant mouse Interleukin-11 alpha was lyophilized from a 0.2um filtered PBS solution pH 7.4.
Purity/Purification
>85%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20 degree C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Molecular Weight
Recombinant Mouse Interleukin-11RA is a monomer consisting of 355 amino acid residue subunits, and migrates as an approximately 46 kDa protein under reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.
3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for Q64385
Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Source
Mouse
Source Note
DNA sequence encoding extracellular domain of Mouse IL-11RA fused to a C-terminal polyHis tag was expressed in HEK cells.
Biological Activity
The activity was determined by its ability to bind mouse IL-6ST in functional ELISA.
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.

Other Notes

Small volumes of IL11RA active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for IL11RA

IL11RA: Receptor for interleukin-11. The receptor systems for IL6, LIF, OSM, CNTF, IL11 and CT1 can utilize IL6ST for initiating signal transmission. The IL11/IL11RA/IL6ST complex may be involved in the control of proliferation and/or differentiation of skeletogenic progenitor or other mesenchymal cells. Essential for the normal development of craniofacial bones and teeth. Restricts suture fusion and tooth number. Defects in IL11RA are a cause of craniosynostosis and dental anomalies (CRSDA). CRSDA is a disorder characterized by craniosynostosis, maxillary hypoplasia, and dental anomalies, including malocclusion, delayed and ectopic tooth eruption, and/or supernumerary teeth. Some patients also display minor digit anomalies, such as syndactyly and/or clinodactyly. Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 3 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: interleukin-11 binding; hematopoietin/interferon-class (D200-domain) cytokine receptor activity; interleukin-11 receptor activity

Biological Process: maternal process involved in pregnancy; natural killer cell differentiation; cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; positive regulation of cell proliferation; decidualization; placenta development
