B-Amyloid Precursor Protein Antibody – Mouse Monoclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS602672

There are 3 known b-APP proteins (b-APP695, b-APP751, b-APP770). The amyloid b-peptide is thought to be derived from all three precursor proteins. Evidence indicates that b-APP is present in senile plaques, extraneuronal tangles, neurous, satellite glial… More details

Specificity
Recognizes human b-amyloid precursor protein (b-APP695) that has a predicted amino acid sequence length of 695. There are 3 known b-APP proteins (b APP695, b APP751, b APP770) thought to be the source of amyloid b-peptide. Recognizes an epitope within the first 200 amino acids in the b-APP amino terminus. This antibody will react with all 3 forms.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
rec b-APP695

ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/ml

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-b-Amyloid Precursor Protein antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
