Heat Shock Protein 110 (HSPH1) Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS621634

Hsp110 belongs to a family of large stress proteins known as the Hsp110/SSE Family. The proteins in this family are the most distantly known relatives of the well studied Hsp70 family. They share 30-33% amino acid identity, mostly in the conserved ATP-binding… More details

UniProt Comments for Hsph1

HSP105: a molecular chaperone of the heat shock protein 70 family. Has ATPase activity. Expressed at especially high levels in mammalian brain and has been shown to suppress apoptosis in neuronal cells and to prevent the aggregation of proteins following heat shock. Known to interact with a variety of proteins including alpha-tubulin and the androgen receptor. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Chaperone; Heat shock protein

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; microtubule; cytoplasm; extracellular region; cytosol; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; nucleotide binding; ATP binding; alpha-tubulin binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of NK T cell activation; chaperone cofactor-dependent protein folding; positive regulation of MHC class I biosynthetic process; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of neuron apoptosis; response to unfolded protein
