RPA32 (RPA2) Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS626778

The p32 protein is a doughnut-shaped trimer that is primarily localized in the mitochondria. It has also been reported to be present at the cell surface and in the nucleus. The role of p32 in mammalian cells is unclear. The yeast p32 homologue has been… More details

Immunofluorescence (IF) of anti-RPA2 antibody

mmunocytochemistry Analysis: Representative lot data. Confocal fluorescent analysis of A431and HeLa cells using Anti-p32 (Red). Actin filaments have been labeled with AlexaFluor®488 -Phalloidin (Green). Nucleus is stained with DAPI (Blue). This antibody positively stains the cytoplasm.
Rabbit Anti-RPA2 Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS626778

Western Blot (WB) of anti-RPA2 antibody

Western Blotting Analysis: Representative lot data. A431 cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF membranes and probed with Anti-p32 (0.5 µg/mL). Proteins were visualized using a Donkey Anti-Rabbit IgG conjugated to HRP and visualized using a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates p32 (~32 kDa).

UniProt Comments for RPA2

RFA2: Required for DNA recombination, repair and replication. The activity of RP-A is mediated by single-stranded DNA binding and protein interactions. Required for the efficient recruitment of the DNA double-strand break repair factor RAD51 to chromatin in response to DNA damage. Heterotrimer of 70, 32 and 14 kDa chains (canonical replication protein A complex). Component of the alternative replication protein A complex (aRPA) composed of RPA1, RPA3 and RPA4. The DNA-binding activity may reside exclusively on the 70 kDa subunit. Binds to SERTAD3/RBT1. Interacts with TIPIN. Directly interacts with PPP4R2, but not with SMEK2; this interaction is DNA damage-dependent and leads RPA2 dephosphorylation by PPP4C recruitment. Interacts with RAD51, preferentially when hyperphosphorylated. Directly interacts with RFWD3. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
