Application Notes for anti-FAP antibody
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and ELISA.
Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 25ug/ml. 10ul of the diluted solution labels 1-2.5x10e5 WI-38 cells in a total reaction volume 200ul. The binding of unlabeled antibodies may be visualized by adding a secondary developing reagent such as an IgG (FITC) anti-mouse.
ELISA: 2-8ug/ml. Can be used in combination with biotinylated human FAP detection antibody and recombinant human FAP as the standard.

Testing Data of anti-FAP antibody

WI-38 cells were stained with MBS632803 (filled histogram) or isotype control (open histogram) followed by PE-conjugated anti-mouse antibody.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-FAP antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for FAP

The protein encoded by this gene is a homodimeric integral membrane gelatinase belonging to the serine protease family. It is selectively expressed in reactive stromal fibroblasts of epithelial cancers, granulation tissue of healing wounds, and malignant cells of bone and soft tissue sarcomas. This protein is thought to be involved in the control of fibroblast growth or epithelial-mesenchymal interactions during development, tissue repair, and epithelial carcinogenesis. UniProt Comments for FAP

FAP: In association with DPP4 is involved in the pericellular proteolysis of the extracellular matrix (ECM), the migration and invasion of endothelial cells into the ECM. May have a role in tissue remodeling during development and wound healing, and may contribute to invasiveness in malignant cancers. Belongs to the peptidase S9B family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Protease; EC 3.4.21.26; EC 3.4.14.5
