Angiopoietin-Like Protein 3 (ANGPTL3) Recombinant Protein

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS637628

Angiopoietin-like proteins ANGPTL3 and ANGPTL4 are secreted proteins mainly expressed in liver that have been demonstrated to regulate triglyceride metabolism by inhibiting the lipolysis of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins. ANGPTL3 is structurally similar to… More details

Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 0.05M Acetate buffer pH 4.
Purity/Purification
Highly Purified
One-step procedure using affinity Ni-NTA chromatography. >95% (SDS-PAGE analyzed).
Specificity
The amino acid sequence of the recombinant Human ANGPTL3 is 100% homologous to the 17-223 amino acid sequence of the Human ANGPTL3 precursor without signal sequence.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for Q9Y5C1
Reconstitution
Add 0.2ml of 0.1M Acetate buffer pH 4 and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. For conversion into higher pH value, we recommend intensive dilution by relevant buffer to a concentration of 10ug/ml. In higher concentrations the solubility of this antigen is limited.
Applications Tested/Suitable for ANGPTL3 recombinant protein
ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes for ANGPTL3 recombinant protein
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.

Other Notes

Small volumes of ANGPTL3 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for ANGPTL3

This gene encodes a member of a family of secreted proteins that function in angiogenesis. The encoded protein, which is expressed predominantly in the liver, is further processed into an N-terminal coiled-coil domain-containing chain and a C-terminal fibrinogen chain. The N-terminal chain is important for lipid metablism, while the C-terminal chain may be involved in angiogenesis. Mutations in this gene cause familial hypobetalipoproteinemia type 2. UniProt Comments for ANGPTL3

ANGPTL3: Defects in ANGPTL3 are the cause of familial hypobetalipoproteinemia type 2 (FHBL2); also called combined hypobetalipoproteinemia familial. FHBL2 is a disorder of lipid metabolism characterized by less than 5th percentile age- and sex-specific levels of low density lipoproteins, and dietary fat malabsorption. Affected individuals present with combined hypolipidemia, consisting of extremely low plasma levels of LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides.
