Product Overview

Online Datasheet in PDF
Product Name
Erythropoietin antibody (EPO ab), ELISA Kit
Full Product Name
Human Erythropoietin antibody ELISA Kit
Product Gene Name
Species Reactivity
Human
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Samples
Erum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Sensitivity
1.0 ng/mL
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of EPOAb. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between EPOAb and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between EPOAb and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
Molecular Weight
21,307 Da
OMIM
gene 612623
Sample Preparation
We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact our technical support team

Other Notes

Small volumes of EPO ab elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS733594 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Erythropoietin antibody (EPO ab) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing EPO ab. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS733594 kit is based on EPO ab antibody-EPO ab antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect EPO ab antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, EPO ab. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for EPO ab

This gene is a member of the EPO/TPO family and encodes a secreted, glycosylated cytokine composed of four alpha helical bundles. The protein is found in the plasma and regulates red cell production by promoting erythroid differentiation and initiating hemoglobin synthesis. This protein also has neuroprotective activity against a variety of potential brain injuries and antiapoptotic functions in several tissue types. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for EPO ab

EPO: Erythropoietin is the principal hormone involved in the regulation of erythrocyte differentiation and the maintenance of a physiological level of circulating erythrocyte mass. Genetic variation in EPO is associated with susceptbility to microvascular complications of diabetes type 2 (MVCD2). These are pathological conditions that develop in numerous tissues and organs as a consequence of diabetes mellitus. They include diabetic retinopathy, diabetic nephropathy leading to end-stage renal disease, and diabetic neuropathy. Diabetic retinopathy remains the major cause of new-onset blindness among diabetic adults. It is characterized by vascular permeability and increased tissue ischemia and angiogenesis. Belongs to the EPO/TPO family.
