DNA Replication Factor Cdt1 (CDT1) ELISA Kit for Human

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS763485

Principle of the Assay: This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti- CDT1 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti- CDT1 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of CDT1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS763485 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the DNA replication factor Cdt1, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CDT1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS763485 kit is based on CDT1 antibody-CDT1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CDT1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CDT1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for CDT1

The protein encoded by this gene is involved in the formation of the pre-replication complex that is necessary for DNA replication. The encoded protein can bind geminin, which prevents replication and may function to prevent this protein from initiating replication at inappropriate origins. Phosphorylation of this protein by cyclin A-dependent kinases results in degradation of the protein. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]

UniProt Comments for CDT1

CDT1: an essential licensing protein for DNA replication. Cooperates with CDC6 to promote the loading of the mini-chromosome maintenance complex onto chromatin to form the pre-replication complex necessary to initiate DNA replication. Binds DNA in a sequence-, strand-, and conformation-independent manner. Elevated in all human tumor cell lines analyzed. May function as an oncogene in mammals. Interaction with GMNN inhibits both binding of the MCM complex to origins of replication and DNA-binding activity. Present during G1 and early S phase of the cell cycle. Degraded during the late S, G2, and M phases.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Oncoprotein; DNA-binding; DNA replication

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16q24.3

Cellular Component: cytosol; nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: DNA binding; protein binding

Biological Process: DNA replication; DNA replication checkpoint; G1/S transition of mitotic cell cycle; G1/S-specific transcription in mitotic cell cycle; mitotic cell cycle; regulation of DNA replication during S phase; regulation of DNA replication initiation
