Other Notes

Small volumes of MME elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS825073 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the CD10 (MME) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing MME. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS825073 kit is based on MME antibody-MME antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect MME antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, MME. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for MME

CD10: Thermolysin-like specificity, but is almost confined on acting on polypeptides of up to 30 amino acids. Biologically important in the destruction of opioid peptides such as Met- and Leu-enkephalins by cleavage of a Gly-Phe bond. Able to cleave angiotensin-1, angiotensin-2 and angiotensin 1-9. Involved in the degradation of atrial natriuretic factor (ANF). Displays UV- inducible elastase activity toward skin preelastic and elastic fibers. Inhibited in a dose dependent manner by opiorphin. Belongs to the peptidase M13 family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Protease; EC 3.4.24.11

Cellular Component: synaptic vesicle; focal adhesion; membrane; axon; dendrite; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; integral to membrane; synapse; brush border

Molecular Function: peptidase activity; hydrolase activity; metallopeptidase activity; zinc ion binding; metalloendopeptidase activity; metal ion binding; endopeptidase activity; exopeptidase activity; peptide binding

Biological Process: peptide metabolic process; beta-amyloid metabolic process; creatinine metabolic process; sensory perception of pain; proteolysis
