OxiRed Probe

Background: OxiRed, which has been marketed under the name Amplex Red reagent, is a highly sensitive and stable probe for H?O?, is a fluorogenic (EX/EM = 535/587 nm) and Colorometric (l = 570 nm) substrate for peroxidase. In the presence of horseradish peroxidase (HRP), the OxiRed probe reacts in a 1:1 stoichiometry with H?O2 to produce highly fluorescent resorufin. Because H?O? is produced in many different enzymatic reactions, the OxiRed probe allows researchers to detect the activity of many different enzymes either colorimetrically or fluorometrically.

Small volumes of OxiRed Probe biochemical vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
