IL3 Human Active Protein

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS4159679

IL3 is produced mainly by T cells following cell activation by antigens and mitogens, but also by keratinocytes, natural killer cells, mast cells, endothelial cells, and monocytes. The analysis of bacterial-derived recombinant IL3 shows that glycosylation is… More details

Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Bioactivity
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of Human TF-1 cells was found less than 0.5 ng/mL
Endotoxin Level
<1.0 EU/ug of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.

NCBI Summary for IL3

The protein encoded by this gene is a potent growth promoting cytokine. This cytokine is capable of supporting the proliferation of a broad range of hematopoietic cell types. It is involved in a variety of cell activities such as cell growth, differentiation and apoptosis. This cytokine has been shown to also possess neurotrophic activity, and it may be associated with neurologic disorders. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
