E coli (Note: Host protein expression may be lot-specific and can be subject to change during production, including bulk orders.)
Form/Format
Interleukin-6 was lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution in.5% glycine,.5% sucrose,.01% Tween80, mM Glutamic acid, pH.5.
Purity/Purification
>95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least years from date of receipt at-20 degree C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree -8 degree C for one month, or at-20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

ModBase 3D Structure for P17515
Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Source
Optimized DNA sequence encoding Mouse IP-10/CXCL10 mature chain was expressed in Escherichia Coli
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method. Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Biological Activity
Determined by its ability to chemoattract IL-2 activated T cells using a concentration range of.1-10.0 ng/ml.
Molecular Function
Cytokine
Biological Process
Chemotaxis, Inflammatory-response
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers

Testing Data of IP-10 active protein

Secretion of proinflammatory chemokines by TNF-stimulated glomeruli ex vivo.
Concentrations of CCL2/MCP-1, CCL5/RANTES, and CXCL10/IP-10 were measured by ELISA in culture supernatants of wildtype, Tnfr1?/?, Tnfr2?/?, and Tnfr1,2?/? glomeruli 12 hours after stimulation with 50 ng/ml of TNF.

Other Notes

Small volumes of IP-10 active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
