Product Overview

Online Datasheet in PDF
Product Name
CRKL, Blocking Peptide
Full Product Name
CRKL Antibody (N-term) Blocking peptide
Product Gene Name
Product Synonym Names
Crk-like protein; CRKL
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the N-term region of CRKL. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Antibody/Peptide Pairs
CRKL peptide (MBS9219993) is used for blocking the activity of CRKL antibody (MBS9207107)
Molecular Weight
33,777 Da

Other Notes

Small volumes of CRKL blocking peptide vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CRKL

This gene encodes a protein kinase containing SH2 and SH3 (src homology) domains which has been shown to activate the RAS and JUN kinase signaling pathways and transform fibroblasts in a RAS-dependent fashion. It is a substrate of the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase, plays a role in fibroblast transformation by BCR-ABL, and may be oncogenic.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2009]

UniProt Comments for CRKL

CRKL: an oncogenic adaptor protein with an SH2-SH3-SH3 domain structure. Plays a specific role in integrin-induced migration as a downstream mediator of Src. Activates the RAS and Jnk signaling pathways. Transforms fibroblasts in a RAS-dependent fashion. A substrate of BCR-ABL and plays a role in fibroblast transformation by BCR-ABL.

Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis
