TSC22D3 cDNA Clone – TSC22 Domain Family Protein 3 Isoform 2

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS200801

TSC22D3 shares significant sequence identity with the murine TSC-22 and Drosophila shs, both of which are leucine zipper proteins, that function as transcriptional regulators. The expression of this gene is stimulated by glucocorticoids and interleukin 10,… More details

Vector Description
This shuttle vector contains the complete ORF. It is inseted BamH I to Xho I. The gene insert contains multiple cloning sites which can be used to easily cut and transfer the gene and recombination site into your expression vector.
Preparation Before Usage
1. Centrifuge at 7000rpm for 1 minute. 2. Carefully open the vial and add 100ul of sterile water to dissolve the DNA. Each tube contains approximately 10ug of lyophilized plasmid.

Other Notes

Small volumes of TSC22D3 cdna clone vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for TSC22D3

This gene encodes the anti-inflammatory protein glucocorticoid (GC)-induced leucine zipper. Expression of this gene stimulated by glucocorticoids and interleukin 10 and it appears to play a key role in the anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects of this steroid. This protein has also been shown to inhibit pro-inflammatory molecules including nuclear factor κB. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]

UniProt Comments for TSC22D3

GILZ: Protects T-cells from IL2 deprivation-induced apoptosis through the inhibition of FOXO3A transcriptional activity that leads to the down-regulation of the pro-apoptotic factor BCL2L11. In macrophages, plays a role in the anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects of glucocorticoids and IL10. In T-cells, inhibits anti-CD3-induced NFKB1 nuclear translocation. In vitro, suppresses AP1 and NFKB1 DNA-binding activities. Belongs to the TSC-22/Dip/Bun family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: DNA-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xq22.3

Cellular Component: cytosol; nucleus

Molecular Function: MRF binding; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: negative regulation of skeletal muscle development; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; body fluid secretion; response to osmotic stress; transmembrane transport
