Other Notes

Small volumes of PLD2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS2505665 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the PLD2, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing PLD2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2505665 kit is based on PLD2 antibody-PLD2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PLD2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, PLD2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for PLD2

The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphatidylcholine to phosphatidic acid and choline. The activity of the encoded enzyme is enhanced by phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate and ADP-ribosylation factor-1. This protein localizes to the peripheral membrane and may be involved in cytoskeletal organization, cell cycle control, transcriptional regulation, and/or regulated secretion. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]

UniProt Comments for PLD2

PLD2: a phosphatidylcholine-specific phospholipase D. Catalyzes the hydrolysis of PC to produce phosphatidic acid and choline. Activated as a consequence of agonist stimulation of both tyrosine kinase and G protein-coupled receptors. May function in regulated secretion, cytoskeletal reorganization, transcriptional regulation, and cell cycle control. Enriched in caveolae; may be involved in MEK/ERK signaling cascades induced by the VEGF/VEGFR-2/PKC-delta pathway in endothelial cells. Three alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Lipid Metabolism - ether lipid; Phospholipase; Lipid Metabolism - glycerophospholipid; EC 3.1.4.4; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis
