Other Notes

Small volumes of CL elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS055829 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Cardiolipin (CL) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS055829 kit is based on CL antibody-CL antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CL antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CL. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for CL

CRLS1: Catalyzes the reversible phosphatidyl group transfer from one phosphatidylglycerol molecule to another to form cardiolipin (CL) (diphosphatidylglycerol) and glycerol. Belongs to the CDP-alcohol phosphatidyltransferase class-I family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Transferase; Lipid Metabolism - glycerophospholipid; Mitochondrial; Membrane protein, multi-pass; EC 2.7.8.-

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 20p13-p12.3

Cellular Component: mitochondrial inner membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: phosphotransferase activity, for other substituted phosphate groups

Biological Process: cardiolipin biosynthetic process; phospholipid metabolic process; glycerophospholipid biosynthetic process
