CD34 Antibody – Rabbit

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS488917

This antibody, labelled with fluoroscein isothiocyanate, has been used in flow cytometry to assess the loss of expression of CD34 epitopes following enzyme incubation (Qian et al., 2008). The antibody has been used as a primary antibody against CD34 in… More details

Western Blot (WB) of anti-CD34 antibody

Western Blot using anti-CD34 antibody 2E 10 (MBS488917). Jurkat(A) (1ug/ml) cells lysate and K562(B) (1ug/ml) cells lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer) were resolved on a SDS PAGE gel and blots were probed with the chimeric rabbit version of 2E 10 (MBS488917-23.0) before detection using an anti-rabbit secondary antibody. A primary incubation of 1h was used and protein was detected by chemiluminescence.

Immunofluorescence (IF) of anti-CD34 antibody

Immunofluorescence staining of K562 cells with anti-CD34 (MBS488917) 2E 10 Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed K562 cells stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of 2E 10 (MBS488917-23.0) (1:1000 dilution) for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (1:1500 dilution), showing nuclear staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom MBS488917-23.0, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was anti-fluorescein antibody followed by staining with Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody.

NCBI Summary for CD34

The protein encoded by this gene may play a role in the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or to stromal cells. This single-pass membrane protein is highly glycosylated and phosphorylated by protein kinase C. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. UniProt Comments for CD34

CD34: Possible adhesion molecule with a role in early hematopoiesis by mediating the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or directly to stromal cells. Could act as a scaffold for the attachment of lineage specific glycans, allowing stem cells to bind to lectins expressed by stromal cells or other marrow components. Presents carbohydrate ligands to selectins. Selectively expressed on hematopoietic progenitor cells and the small vessel endothelium of a variety of tissues. Belongs to the CD34 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
