Other Notes

Small volumes of CECR1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS2515808 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the CECR1, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CECR1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2515808 kit is based on CECR1 antibody-CECR1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CECR1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CECR1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for CECR1

CECR1: Adenosine deaminase that may contribute to the degradation of extracellular adenosine, a signaling molecule that controls a variety of cellular responses. Requires elevated adenosine levels for optimal enzyme activity. Binds to cell surfaces via proteoglycans and may play a role in the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation, independently of its enzyme activity. Belongs to the adenosine and AMP deaminases family. ADGF subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: EC 3.5.4.4; Hydrolase; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 22q11.2

Cellular Component: extracellular space; cytosol

Molecular Function: heparin binding; adenosine deaminase activity; proteoglycan binding; protein homodimerization activity; growth factor activity; zinc ion binding; adenosine receptor binding

Biological Process: adenosine catabolic process; multicellular organismal development; hypoxanthine salvage; inosine biosynthetic process

Disease: Polyarteritis Nodosa, Childhood-onset; Sneddon Syndrome
