Cornulin (CRNN) ELISA Kit for Human

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS458583

Test Principle: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to CRNN. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to CRNN.… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of CRNN elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for CRNN purchase

MBS458583 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Cornulin (CRNN) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CRNN. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS458583 kit is based on CRNN antibody-CRNN antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CRNN antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CRNN. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for CRNN

This gene encodes a member of the "fused gene" family of proteins, which contain N-terminus EF-hand domains and multiple tandem peptide repeats. The encoded protein contains two EF-hand Ca2+ binding domains in its N-terminus and two glutamine- and threonine-rich 60 amino acid repeats in its C-terminus. This gene, also known as squamous epithelial heat shock protein 53, may play a role in the mucosal/epithelial immune response and epidermal differentiation. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2009]

UniProt Comments for CRNN

Survival factor that participates in the clonogenicity of squamous esophageal epithelium cell lines, attenuates deoxycholic acid (DCA)-induced apoptotic cell death and release of calcium. When overexpressed in oral squamous carcinom cell lines, regulates negatively cell proliferation by the induction of G1 arrest.
