Samples
Tissue homogenates, Cell lysates and other biological fluids
Detection Range
0.312-20ng/mL
Sensitivity
0.51ng/mL
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of NET. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between NET and analogues was observed.
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level NET were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level NET were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<10%

Other Notes

Small volumes of NET elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for NET purchase

MBS2021571 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Norepinephrine Transporter (NET) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing NET. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2021571 kit is based on NET antibody-NET antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NET antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, NET. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for NET

This gene encodes a member of the sodium:neurotransmitter symporter family. This member is a multi-pass membrane protein, which is responsible for reuptake of norepinephrine into presynaptic nerve terminals and is a regulator of norepinephrine homeostasis. Mutations in this gene cause orthostatic intolerance, a syndrome characterized by lightheadedness, fatigue, altered mentation and syncope. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified in this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]

UniProt Comments for NET

SLC6A2: Amine transporter. Terminates the action of noradrenaline by its high affinity sodium-dependent reuptake into presynaptic terminals. Defects in SLC6A2 are a cause of orthostatic intolerance (OI). OI is a syndrome characterized by lightheadedness, fatigue, altered mentation and syncope. It is associated with postural tachycardia. Plasma norepinephrine concentration is abnormally high. Belongs to the sodium:neurotransmitter symporter (SNF) (TC 2.A.22) family. SLC6A2 subfamily.
