Other Notes

Small volumes of SCD28 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS3801986 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Soluble CD28 (SCD28) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing SCD28. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS3801986 kit is based on SCD28 antibody-SCD28 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect SCD28 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, SCD28. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for SCD28

The protein encoded by this gene is essential for T-cell proliferation and survival, cytokine production, and T-helper type-2 development. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]

UniProt Comments for SCD28

CD28: a type I plasma membrane protein Involved in T-cell activation, the induction of cell proliferation and cytokine production and promotion of T-cell survival. Binds to B7-1 and -2. Expressed in T cells and plasma cells, but not in less mature B cells. Six splice-variant isoforms have been described.
