Test Principle
This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TYMP in samples. An antibody specific for TYMP has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TYMP present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TYMP is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TYMP bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
ISO Certification
Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Laboratory.

Other Notes

Small volumes of TP elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for TP

This gene encodes an angiogenic factor which promotes angiogenesis in vivo and stimulates the in vitro growth of a variety of endothelial cells. It has a highly restricted target cell specificity acting only on endothelial cells. Mutations in this gene have been associated with mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2012]
