Testing Data of MEF2A elisa kit

The TFact MEF2A (Phospho-Ser408) DNA-Binding ELISA detects active MEF2A (Phospho-Ser408) in Hela Nuclear Extract. The Hela cells were grown 3 days in DMEM with 10% FBS and harvested for nuclear extract. The Hela cells were stimulated by PMA (200nM) before harvest.

Other Notes

Small volumes of MEF2A elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for MEF2A

The protein encoded by this gene is a DNA-binding transcription factor that activates many muscle-specific, growth factor-induced, and stress-induced genes. The encoded protein can act as a homodimer or as a heterodimer and is involved in several cellular processes, including muscle development, neuronal differentiation, cell growth control, and apoptosis. Defects in this gene could be a cause of autosomal dominant coronary artery disease 1 with myocardial infarction (ADCAD1). Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2010]

UniProt Comments for MEF2A

MEF2A: a myocyte-specific enhancing transcription factor which binds specifically to the MEF2 element present in the regulatory regions of many, if not all, muscle-specific genes. A member of the MADS gene family that also includes several homeotic genes and other transcription factors, all of which share a conserved DNA-binding domain. Five alternatively spliced isoforms have been reported.
