MBS2502580 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the FPR2, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing FPR2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2502580 kit is based on FPR2 antibody-FPR2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FPR2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FPR2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for FPR2

FPR2: Low affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides, which are powerful neutrophils chemotactic factors. Binding of FMLP to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The activation of LXA4R could result in an anti-inflammatory outcome counteracting the actions of proinflammatory signals such as LTB4 (leukotriene B4). Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; GPCR, family 1; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: membrane; integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; RAGE receptor binding; signal transducer activity; N-formyl peptide receptor activity; receptor activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; G-protein signaling, coupled to IP3 second messenger (phospholipase C activating); chemotaxis; signal transduction
