Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry.
Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ug/ml; 80ul labels 5x10e5 Raji cells
Immunohistochemistry: frozen sections
Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. 5x10e5 cultured Raji cells per tube were incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80ul of C2435-04 at 10ug/ml.
2. Cells were washed twice and incubated with 2º reagent Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC.
3. Cells were then washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS.
4. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 0.66 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration.

NCBI Summary for CD83

The protein encoded by this gene is a single-pass type I membrane protein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of receptors. The encoded protein may be involved in the regulation of antigen presentation. A soluble form of this protein can bind to dendritic cells and inhibit their maturation. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]
