Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Supplied as lyophilized tissue culture supernatant in PBS, pH 7.2, 5% trehalose. Reconstitution: sterile PBS using 1ml of PBSfor a final concentration of 0.5mg/ml.
Sf 21-derived rhDecorin
Fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, Sf 21-derived, recombinant human Decorin (rhDecorin; aa 17-359; Accession # Q5R1V9).
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 24 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-DCN antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-DCN antibody
Decorin is a small secreted leucine rich proteoglycan that binds to fibronectin, TGF- and type I and type II collagen. Decorin has been implicated in the assembly of the extracellular matrix and the inhibition of tumor progression.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-DCN antibody
Application Notes for anti-DCN antibody
Suitable for use in ELISA.
Dilution: ELISA: Used as a capture reagent in a human Decorin sandwich immunoassay in combination with biotinylated, human Decorin detection antibody and recombinant human Decorin as the
standard. The suggested coating concentration range is 2-8ug/ml and should be titrated to determine the optimal concentration.

NCBI Summary for DCN
The protein encoded by this gene is a small cellular or pericellular matrix proteoglycan that is closely related in structure to biglycan protein. The encoded protein and biglycan are thought to be the result of a gene duplication. This protein is a component of connective tissue, binds to type I collagen fibrils, and plays a role in matrix assembly. It contains one attached glycosaminoglycan chain. This protein is capable of suppressing the growth of various tumor cell lines. There are multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants known for this gene. This gene is a candidate gene for Marfan syndrome. [provided by RefSeq]
UniProt Comments for DCN
DCN: May affect the rate of fibrils formation. Defects in DCN are the cause of congenital stromal corneal dystrophy (CSCD). Corneal dystrophies are inherited, bilateral, primary alterations of the cornea that are not associated with prior inflammation or secondary to systemic disease. Most show autosomal dominant inheritance. Belongs to the small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family. SLRP class I subfamily. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
