Other Notes

Small volumes of C1qb elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS7615563 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the C1qb (Complement C1q subcomponent subunit B) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing C1qb. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS7615563 kit is based on C1qb antibody-C1qb antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect C1qb antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, C1qb. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for C1qb

C1QB: C1q associates with the proenzymes C1r and C1s to yield C1, the first component of the serum complement system. The collagen-like regions of C1q interact with the Ca(2+)-dependent C1r(2)C1s(2) proenzyme complex, and efficient activation of C1 takes place on interaction of the globular heads of C1q with the Fc regions of IgG or IgM antibody present in immune complexes. Defects in C1QB are a cause of complement component C1q deficiency (C1QD). A rare defect resulting in C1 deficiency and impaired activation of the complement classical pathway. C1 deficiency generally leads to severe immune complex disease with features of systemic lupus erythematosus and glomerulonephritis.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Cellular Component: collagen; extracellular region; complement component C1 complex

Molecular Function: protein homodimerization activity

Biological Process: immune system process; innate immune response; inner ear development; complement activation, classical pathway
