MyAssay's Data Analyzing Software

MyAssay is a state of the art software solution platform for quantitating and storing data from ELISA and other assays. The ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is a tool used to determine the concentration of a protein in a liquid sample. Generally, ELISAs can provide one of the following two different data outputs:

     1) Qualitative: This ELISA can help determine if your samples contain the protein of interest (positive result) or if the protein is absent (negative result) relative to a blank or negative control well that does not contain the target.
     2) Quantitative: This ELISA can help determine the concentration of target protein within a sample by setting up a standard curve of known target protein concentrations using purified antigen.
*MyAssay's Software is ideal for quantitative ELISA assays. The software can be used for free or purchased at a discount. Click here for discount details. Also see "The Perks of Using MyAssays Data Analyzing Software"

The preparation of the ELISA standard curve is critical in sample quantification. This is a brief guide to preparing a standard curve using the MyAssay's ELISA data analyzing software:

     1) Go to www.myassays.com
     2) At the top left corner, click on "Join now for Free"
     3) Fill out the information to obtain a username and password.
     4) Then log in.
     5) You can watch the video and read the getting started guide.
     6) On the search bar, type 'four parameter logistic curve' which takes you to the following page:

     7) Here you will input your raw data under number one: Measurements. Please note: the data analysis software can only read data that is formatted to contain full columns and not half filled columns. For instance if you have a 12x8 well plate and you only run 3 wells and not all 8 wells on the last column, the software will not recognize the 3 wells. The strip wells must contain data for all 8 wells. If you are short wells in a given strip, you may want to input 'dummy data.'

     8) In regards to the microplate, you can custom make your plate template by clicking on number two: Microplate. For demonstration purposes, we will be analyzing a plate that contains standards, blanks, and 16 samples (all run in duplicate). This information depends on the customers research experimental set up. This example plate set up will look like this:

     9) Next, click on number three to input the Standard Concentrations (Conc.) of the Standards/Calibrators. For example:

     10) Next, click on Dilution Factors and input the dilution used with your samples. If no dilution was performed (neat sample), you can leave the dilution as 1.

     11) After, you may continue onto number five and fill in your Sample IDs. This information depends on the customers research samples used (e.g. sample type, age, treated, etc.).

     12) Then, you can continue onto the Run Notes section where you may input any additional information you have about your samples, experimental set-up, reminders, etc.

     13) Click on 'Calculate...' and the software will analyze your data.

     14) Once the results pop up, you may click on the data images to view the full data analysis report.

     15) The MyAssays software will automatically provide a summary of your data. The data will be organized by wells, OD values, mean, standard deviation, back calculations, and % recovery. On the top right corner, you will see a Table that shows your R^2 value and 4-PL equation coefficients.

     16) Finally, you can export your data to an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on 'Export to Excel.'

     17) Then you can open up the Excel spreadsheet by clicking on the small Excel figure. You may edit your data accordingly and save it to your desktop.

     18) The values highlighted in yellow are either above or below the detection range of the kit; thus not detectable.

     19) If you would like to receive feedback about your data, please feel free to submit an online technical inquiry and provide the MyBioSource catalog number, lot number, raw and analyzed data, information about your sample type used as well as any questions you may have. Our Technical Support staff will reply to your inquiry in 1-3 business days.

     20) You have an option to purchase the MyAssays Desktop version to keep your data secure. To purchase the MyAssays Desktop at a discounted price, please generate a username and password on www.myassays.com.

     21) Once logged in, you can click on 'Store' at the top right corner and you will be taken to the following page that lists all the available options for the MyAssays Desktop: https://www.myassays.com/store.aspx

     22) We have partnered with MyAssays to bring you a special discount that can be entered in the second field under 'Referral.' Click here for details.
