Application Notes for anti-ELF5 antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 128000.
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Thyroid Gland shows nuclear staining in the epithelial cells of the glands. Data obtained from previous batch (different goat). Recommended concentration, 4-8ug/ml.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments in Human lysates of Lung, Kidney, Prostate and Testes gave no specific signal but low background (at antibody concentration up to 1ug/ml).

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-ELF5 antibody

(4ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human Thyroid Gland. Steamed antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6, HRP-staining.

NCBI Summary for ELF5

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of an epithelium-specific subclass of the Ets transcritpion factor family. In addition to its role in regulating the later stages of terminal differentiation of keratinocytes, it appears to regulate a number of epithelium-specific genes found in tissues containing glandular epithelium such as salivary gland and prostate. It has very low affinity to DNA due to its negative regulatory domain at the amino terminus. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]
