Product Categories/Family for anti-ARGBP2 antibody

Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-ARGBP2 antibody
Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes for anti-ARGBP2 antibody
WB: 1:50-1:100
ELISA: 1:1,000
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Immunofluorescence (IF) of anti-ARGBP2 antibody

Fluorescent image of U251 cell stained with ARGBP2 Antibody (N-term).U251 cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.1%, 10 min), then incubated with ARGBP2 primary antibody (1:25, 1 h at 37 degree C). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:400, 50 min at 37 degree C).Cytoplasmic actin was counterstained with Alexa Fluor 555 (red) conjugated Phalloidin (7units/ml, 1 h at 37 degree C).ARGBP2 immunoreactivity is localized to Nucleus significantly.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-ARGBP2 antibody

Western blot analysis of ARGBP2 Antibody (N-term) in MDA-MB231 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). ARGBP2 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-ARGBP2 antibody

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma reacted with ARGBP2 Antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) of anti-ARGBP2 antibody

Flow cytometric analysis of MDA-231 cells using ARGBP2 Antibody (N-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.

UniProt Comments for ARGBP2

ArgBP2: Adapter protein that plays a role in the assembling of signaling complexes, being a link between ABL kinases and actin cytoskeleton. Can form complex with ABL1 and CBL, thus promoting ubiquitination and degradation of ABL1 or with AKT1 and PAK1, thus mediating AKT1-mediated activation of PAK1. Isoform 6 increases water and sodium absorption in the intestine and gall-bladder. 7 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4q35.1

Cellular Component: perinuclear region of cytoplasm; plasma membrane; nucleus; Z disc; actin cytoskeleton

Molecular Function: protein domain specific binding; protein binding; structural constituent of cytoskeleton; structural constituent of muscle; metal ion binding; cytoskeletal adaptor activity

Biological Process: cell migration; actin filament organization; cell adhesion
