CENPH Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS6285097

Centromere and kinetochore proteins play a critical role in centromere structure, kinetochore formation, and sister chromatid separation. The protein encoded by this gene colocalizes with inner kinetochore plate proteins CENP-A and CENP-C in both interphase… More details

ELISA: 1:1,000
IHC: 1:50-100
WB: 1:100-500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-CENPH antibody

Western blot analysis of CENPH Antibody (Center) in Hela cell line lysates (35ug/lane). CENPH (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.
Rabbit Anti-CENPH Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS6285097

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-CENPH antibody

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human testis tissue reacted with CENPH Antibody (Center), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

UniProt Comments for CENPH

CENPH: Component of the CENPA-NAC (nucleosome-associated) complex, a complex that plays a central role in assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. The CENPA-NAC complex recruits the CENPA-CAD (nucleosome distal) complex and may be involved in incorporation of newly synthesized CENPA into centromeres. Required for chromosome congression and efficiently align the chromosomes on a metaphase plate. Belongs to the centromere protein H family.

Protein type: Cell cycle regulation

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5p15.2

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; kinetochore; nucleus; cytosol

Molecular Function: kinetochore binding; protein binding

Biological Process: nucleosome assembly; kinetochore assembly; DNA replication-independent nucleosome assembly at centromere; mitotic cell cycle; kinetochore organization and biogenesis
