Western Blot (WB) of anti-CKMM antibody

The anti-CKM Pab is used in Western blot to detect CKM in C6 cell lysate.
Rabbit Anti-CKMM Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS6470546

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-CKMM antibody

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human skeletal muscle reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.

Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) of anti-CKMM antibody

Flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells using Creatine Kinase MB (CKM) Antibody (C-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-CKMM antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CKMM

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis and is an important serum marker for myocardial infarction. The encoded protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in striated muscle as well as in other tissues, and as a heterodimer with a similar brain isozyme in heart. The encoded protein is a member of the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase protein family. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for CKMM

CKM: Reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens (e.g. creatine phosphate). Creatine kinase isoenzymes play a central role in energy transduction in tissues with large, fluctuating energy demands, such as skeletal muscle, heart, brain and spermatozoa. Belongs to the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase family.

Protein type: EC 2.7.3.2; Kinase, other; Amino Acid Metabolism - arginine and proline

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.32

Cellular Component: cytosol

Molecular Function: creatine kinase activity; ATP binding

Biological Process: phosphocreatine biosynthetic process; phosphorylation; creatine metabolic process
