CKS1B Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS612642

Cks (Cdc kinase subunit) proteins are members of the cyclin-dependent kinase (cdk) family that act as adaptors to allow the cdks to interact more efficiently with their molecular targets. Cks1 is involved in the regulation of cell cycle mitosis in normal and… More details

Online Datasheet in PDF
Product Name
Cks1 (CKS1B), Polyclonal Antibody
Full Product Name
Cks1, CT (Cdc kinase subunit 1)
Product Gene Name
Product Synonym Names
Anti -Cks1, CT (Cdc kinase subunit 1)
Clonality
Polyclonal
Host
Rabbit
Species Reactivity
Human
Form/Format
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.1% sodium azide
Purity/Purification
Affinity Purified
Purified by epitope affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human Cks1 protein at ~11kD. Bands of unknown origin at ~20, 30 and 100kD are also observed. Reactivity: HeLa cell lysates by Western blotting, immunofluorescence and immunoprecipitation, and with non-small cell lung carcinoma tissue by immunohistochemistry. Western blotting with purified Cks1 and Cks2 proteins was used to confirm that this antibody does not cross-react with Cks2. Cross-reactivity with mouse is expected based upon amino acid sequence homology.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF)
Application Notes for anti-CKS1B antibody
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: ELISA: 0.1-1ug/ml
Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml
Immunofluorescence: 10ug/ml
Immunoprecipitation: 7ug/IP reaction
Immunohistochemistry: 2.5ug/ml
Note: For immunohistochemistry with formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues, Heat Induced Epotope Retrieval (HIER) with citrate buffer, pH 6.0, is recommended.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-CKS1B antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CKS1B

CKS1B protein binds to the catalytic subunit of the cyclin dependent kinases and is essential for their biological function. The CKS1B mRNA is found to be expressed in different patterns through the cell cycle in HeLa cells, which reflects a specialized role for the encoded protein. At least two transcript variants have been identified for this gene, and it appears that only one of them encodes a protein. [provided by RefSeq]
