Preparation and Storage
Store product at 4 degree C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable at -20 degree C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Application Notes for anti-MCAF antibody
ELISA: Detection by direct ELISA (using 100ul/well antibody solution), requires a concentration of at least 0.5ug/ml of antibody. This antigen-affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows detection of 0.2-0.4ng/well.
Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity (10ng/ml), a concentration of 3.0-5.0ug/ml of this antibody is required.
WB: Use at a concentration of 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit is 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-MCAF antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
