Application Notes for anti-PEBP4 antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 4000.
Western blot: Approx 26kDa band observed in Human Heart lysates (calculated MW of 25.7kDa according to NP_659399.2). Recommended concentration: 1-3ug/ml. An additional band of unknown identity was also consistently observed at 30kDa. This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Pancreas shows staining consistent with lysosomes. Recommended concentration, 5-10ug/ml.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-PEBP4 antibody

(1ug/ml) staining of Human Heart lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.
Goat Anti-PEBP4 Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS422095

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-PEBP4 antibody

(5ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human Pancreas. Microwaved antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9, HRP-staining.
Goat Anti-PEBP4 Polyclonal Antibody, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) – Cat# MBS422095

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-PEBP4 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for PEBP4

The phosphatidylethanolamine (PE)-binding proteins, including PEBP4, are an evolutionarily conserved family of proteins with pivotal biologic functions, such as lipid binding and inhibition of serine proteases (Wang et al., 2004 [PubMed 15302887]).[supplied by OMIM, Dec 2008]

UniProt Comments for PEBP4

PEBP4: Seems to promote cellular resistance to TNF-induced apoptosis by inhibiting activation of the Raf-1/MEK/ERK pathway, JNK and phosphatidylethanolamine externalization. Belongs to the phosphatidylethanolamine-binding protein family.
