Western Blot (WB) of anti-RSK1 antibody

Western blot analysis of RPS6KA1 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal RPS6KA1 Antibody (S732). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the RPS6KA1 gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-RSK1 antibody

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma tissue reacted with RPS6KA1 Antibody (S732), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-RSK1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for RSK1

This gene encodes a member of the RSK (ribosomal S6 kinase) family of serine/threonine kinases. This kinase contains 2 nonidentical kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates various substrates, including members of the mitogen-activated kinase (MAPK) signalling pathway. The activity of this protein has been implicated in controlling cell growth and differentiation. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. UniProt Comments for RSK1

p90RSK: an AGC kinase of the RSK family. Phosphorylated and activated by Erk1 and -2 in response to many growth factors, polypeptide hormones and neurotransmitters. Several phosphorylation sites are important for its activation. Possesses two kinase domains connected by a regulator linker region. Phosphorylates a wide range of substrates including ribosomal protein S6. Prominently expressed in brain structures essential for cognitive function and learning.
