Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP)
Application Notes for anti-ARPC2 antibody
WB: 1:2000-1:10,000
IP: 6ug/mg lysate

Immunoprecipitation (IP) of anti-ARPC2 antibody

Detection of human ARPC2 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ARPC2 antibody MBS3905528 (lot MBS3905528-1) used for IP at 6 ug per reaction. ARPC2 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-ARPC2 antibody BL21244. For blotting immunoprecipitated ARPC2, MBS3905528 was used at 0.4 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-ARPC2 antibody

Detection of human and mouse ARPC2 by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (15 ug) from HeLa, HEK293T, Jurkat, mouse TCMK-1, and mouse NIH 3T3 cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ARPC2 antibody MBS3905528 (lot MBS3905528-1) used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

NCBI Summary for ARPC2

This gene encodes one of seven subunits of the human Arp2/3 protein complex. The Arp2/3 protein complex has been implicated in the control of actin polymerization in cells and has been conserved through evolution. The exact role of the protein encoded by this gene, the p34 subunit, has yet to be determined. Two alternatively spliced variants have been characterized to date. Additional alternatively spliced variants have been described but their full length nature has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for ARPC2

ARPC2: Functions as actin-binding component of the Arp2/3 complex which is involved in regulation of actin polymerization and together with an activating nucleation-promoting factor (NPF) mediates the formation of branched actin networks. Seems to contact the mother actin filament. Belongs to the ARPC2 family.
